Artist Info
Michael is interested in painting the emotion he feels when observing nature. Painting in watercolor provokes a spontaneous outpouring of ideas that he can articulate into a composition. Techniques such as; bleeding, blockout, salt, scrubbing, and lifting of paint help realize this vision.
Michael Kaiser earned his BFA at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Watercolor has been a main focus in his work for twenty years. He served as president of the Central Ohio Watercolor Society in 1996. Michael’s paintings have been exhibited throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
Public Collections include Ohio State University, Columbus Public Library, and The Environmental Center, Erie.
Michael has also created one of a kind sculptures, paintings, and murals for clients such as the Columbus Zoo, Navy SEAL Museum, Red River Museum in Texas, American Express Corp., Disney and the Limited.
